JEREMY LEFROY
MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR STAFFORD
Jeremy Lefroy has been Member of Parliament for Stafford since May 2010.

With others locally, he has helped run jobs clubs and job fairs; encouraged businesses to take on more apprentices; and supported the building of two new business parks in Stafford. The numbers in Stafford constituency receiving Job Seekers Allowance have fallen from 1700 to fewer than 1000 since 2010. His aim is to see the number below 500 by 2020.

He has fought to keep Stafford as an acute hospital with A&E and a broad range of general services and continues to campaign for district general hospitals as an essential part of our NHS. The Francis Report – which he and others called for - has had a profound impact on the approach towards safety and compassionate care throughout the NHS.

Jeremy will continue to support the development of Stafford constituency as a centre for energy, skilled engineering and ICT enterprise. He remains committed to fighting for essential infrastructure, such as the Western Access Road, fair funding for our schools and more social and affordable housing
