Sadler, Rachel
Bexhill & Battle

Since joining the Liberal Democrats in 2011, Rachel Sadler has gained experience in campaigning, fundraising, has been the Deputy Chair and Chairperson of her local Party, and has also run as a Borough and County Council candidate. Most recently, Rachel has played a part in securing the safe demolition of the derelict ABC cinema site in Tunbridge Wells, having campaigned on this since 2013.

Rachel wants to make a difference, and has always been altruistic, which is why she is running as a Parliamentary candidate in 2015’s General Election.

Rachel’s particularly passionate about increasing the involvement of underrepresented groups in politics, so she will naturally be campaigning on this issue throughout the forthcoming months, as the Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Bexhill and Battle.

She understands that poverty is an issue in the constituency, so this will also be an important campaign subject. As a Liberal Democrat, Rachel wants to build a stronger economy in a fairer society, enabling everybody to succeed.

Rachel’s not a resident of Bexhill or Battle, but lives nearby, in Tunbridge Wells.

Thanks to efficient transport links and a supportive network of colleagues, she will be able to travel around the constituency, and will also be able to provide a fresh perspective on the issues within the constituency.

Rachel is a single woman without any children, so will be able to devote the bulk of her free time to campaigning in Bexhill and Battle, and will therefore be easily available to her constituents.

Outside of politics, Rachel primarily enjoys reading, socialising, going for walks and listening to classic rock music.

Rachel’s wealth of working experiences have honed her interpersonal and verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and these skills, coupled with her abundant energy and open and inquisitive nature, ensure that Rachel will be the Ideal candidate for this seat.
