ALASTAIR REDMAN

Alastair Redman is passionate about Argyll & Bute and campaigns tirelessly to improve the lot of all who live there.

A native of the island of Islay, Alasdair is the Postmaster in the village of Portnahaven and vice-chair of the island's Community Council.

Alastair understands that the constituency is diverse, with commuter belt areas in Helensburgh and Lomond, and rural communities like Oban and Campbeltown, as well as inhabited island communities. He is determined to ensure that all parts are treated fairly and get the services and infrastructure they deserve.

Alasdair will be a champion for local jobs and industry, including malt whisky distilling, agriculture, forestry and fishing. He is also a director of his local recycling charity Re-Jig and will fight for a cleaner community and a better environment for you and your family.

Alasdair says, “Whether you are a Conservative supporter, a voter for another party, or not political at all, I want to make sure your voice is heard. I am young and energetic and, being local, I understand the issues you care about.

“I believe the Conservatives are the party and I am the person who can offer practical solutions to the issues that affect us all.”
