My name is Will Scobie, and in July last year, I was selected by the South Thanet Labour Party to be their Parliamentary Candidate in 2015. I have lived locally my entire life, and I am proud to be standing for the area where I was born and bred. This is also where I am now bringing up my young family.

I think it is important that we have a local MP who knows what it is like to live here. For me, the decisions taken by Parliament will not be simply abstract, because they will actually affect people that I know such as my friends and family. If I am elected as the MP for South Thanet, every decision I will take will be for what is best for the local area. Over the past few years, I have served locally as a District and County Councillor, and last year I was also Mayor of Margate. Through all of this, I have shown that I will work with anyone to make sure that we get the best result possible for the local area.
