DAVID MACKINTOSH
CANDIDATE FOR NORTHAMPTON SOUTH
As Leader of the Council, David is driving forward the regeneration of Northampton with schemes including the new Railway Station, new Bus Station, and helped secure the largest Enterprise Zone in the UK for Northampton, which has created new jobs and opportunities for local people.
David also delivered the redevelopment of Sixfields Stadium and Franklin's Gardens for The Cobblers and The Saints after years of delays. David lives in Great Billing and is actively involved in the local community as a School Governor at Ecton Brook Primary School. David is also a board member of Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership and the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership, working to improve the local economy.
David is seeking to be elected to the House of Commons when Brian Binley retires as a Member of Parliament at the General Election in 2015. He was selected at an Open Primary in December 2013 which was open to all registered voters who live in the constituency.
