Nick Perry
Hastings & Rye
Nick was the Liberal Democrat candidate for Hastings & Rye at the 2010 General Election, helping the party to increase its share of the vote.
Over recent years Nick has campaigned on many local issues. These have included:
Campaigning for safe, sustainable and efficient emergency health services across East Sussex
Fighting for a fairer share of quota for Hastings & Rye fishermen
And working with Liberal Democrat colleagues in Government to deliver fairer taxes and pensions.
Nick has spent the past 15 years working in frontline health and social care. He is a passionate advocate for the needs of the disadvantaged and marginalised in the constituency. When he moved to Hastings he worked for crisis mental health services. He is currently employed as an approved mental health professional and senior practitioner in the Hastings community mental health team.
Nick lives on the West Hill in Hastings with his partner and two young children, is a member of Christ Church Blacklands and has helped to lead the Castle Ward Focus Team since 2007.
