Dover & Deal, Clair Hawkins
Clair Hawkins is Labour’s candidate for MP in Dover & Deal. Clair was born in Buckland Hospital Dover, brought up in Deal and went to local schools. The granddaughter of a Betteshanger coalminer and milkman’s daughter she was the first person in her family to go to university then trained and worked as a teacher in Further Education. Clair currently works for a local charity helping people back into work. Clair is proud to call Dover & Deal home and will work with and for local people to rebuild the pride in the area and create Destination Dover & Deal.
