Richard Marbrow is an experienced campaigner, fighting for the people of Oldham East and Saddleworth.

Working as part of the Liberal Democrat team with the strong group of Oldham Borough Councillors as well as the majority groups on the Saddleworth and Shaw & Crompton Parish Councils, Richard is campaigning to build a stronger economy and a fairer society for people across East Oldham, Shaw & Crompton and the villages of Saddleworth.

Richard was brought up in a deprived town in the Midlands and was the first member of his family to go to University. He wants people to be able to achieve in life regardless of where they were born or how rich their parents were. He campaigns for equality of opportunity for all.

Richard wants to see a solution to the crisis of house prices that spiral upwards forever, rising faster than wages and pricing people out of a home. If families are to continue to grow and thrive in our Borough they will need homes to live in that they can afford, not a dream of ownership that they cannot achieve.

A former City Councillor in a majority group for 9 years, Richard has the experience needed to be an outstanding MP for Oldham East and Saddleworth, following in the footsteps of Chris Davies.
