GREG HANDS
MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR CHELSEA AND FULHAM

Educated at Dr Challoner’s Grammar School and at Cambridge University, Greg worked for a decade in Berlin, the City of London and on Wall Street on trading floors. Greg was first elected to Hammersmith & Fulham council in London in 1998, and as MP for Hammersmith & Fulham at the General Election in May 2005. After boundary changes, Greg was elected the MP for Chelsea & Fulham constituency at the 2010 General Election. From January 2009 to May 2010, Greg served as Shadow Treasury Minister and after the 2010 General Election was appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Rt Hon George Osborne MP. In September 2011, Greg joined the Government, as the Treasury Whip. In October 2013, he was appointed by David Cameron as the Government’s Deputy Chief Whip. Greg was the founder of the Save Fulham Pools campaign, is a trustee of the Brunswick Club for Young People on the Clem Attlee Estate and is the Vice-President of both the Chelsea Society and the Fulham Society. Greg lives in Fulham with his half-East German half-Russian wife, Irina, and their two children. Greg speaks German fluently, and Czech and French to high standards.
